Oobi at the Trade Show

Wow, what a week! We finally put winter to "bed" so to speak at the Trade Show. This is the last opportunity for our retailers to see Oobi in a showroom setting before we start shipping out to stores.

It was a huge week with lots of interesting stores taking Oobi for the first time and of course our fave retailers returning to choose their pieces for winter.

The most popular... hmmm... Boy's wear went down a storm (yes!) and the whale peacoat was a hit. We have only a limited run of these so please get in quick to avoid any disappointment.

Thought you might be interested to see our display, it was pretty cute :)

Autumn/Winter 2009 in Store Soon!

OK, so we receive loads of emails every week from Mums (and the occasional Dad) who have asked why we don't design for boys. Our answer to that... check out Autumn/Winter 2009! But please don't expect punk/surfer/sporty gear. It's still Oobi, it's still Retro and we think it's something that's been missing from the boyswear market.

Maybe you'll agree, maybe you won't. We'd love to get your feedback. We've brought out a huge range of boys clothes for winter and we'll continue to do so if it's well received. If we're off track, we really want to know too, but we think it's pretty cute :)

Who said we don't listen!

That said, the girlswear is pretty special and we really hope you'll like it as much as we do. We found a lovely collective of women who do hand crochet work (mostly grandmas, aunties, women who have been sewing or knitting their whole lives) and they've come up with the goodies for us with our new crochet range. It's all really lovingly handmade.

Because we're Oobi we couldn't resist designing a few more exclusive fabrics too so check out our pretty red birdies and Scandinavian Swirl designs. Plus some cheeky button prints too.

Nicole Kidman and Sunday Rose - Fans of Oobi

Nicole Kidman and little Sunday Rose are fans of Oobi's metallic Mary Janes! As Nic says "They're perfect!". She was very excited about the velcro feature to ensure that the shoes don't slip off. We're fairly certain that little Sunday Rose will have a huge collection of shoes in the future and are pretty pleased to get her on her way...
